This treatment is generally very safe. You can expect some swelling, tenderness, and possible bruising for a few days after treatment, but most people return to normal activities within 24–48 hours.
Is there any downtime after the treatment?
The degree of swelling and bruising can vary. Swelling to the body is generally easy to mask with baggy clothing for 1-2 weeks. Swelling to the “double chin” area can appear quite significant for 48-72 hours, taking about 2 weeks to return to baseline. Some people find the “double chin” swelling to be quite extreme, and may prefer to take some time off from work or social activities.
Is there any contraindications for this treatment?
Individuals with a soy allergy should not undergo this treatment, as the product used for the fat dissolving is derived from soy.
